Queens Grove,
St. John’s Wood

Set within a Grade II listed Georgian terrace in St. John’s Wood, this four-storey family home underwent a full interior transformation after the initial project — a redesign of the hallway and living room — expanded into a comprehensive refurbishment. With the original contractor dismissed early on and architectural plans proving inadequate for modern family life, we were brought in to reimagine the entire home.

The clients, expats from Brazil by way of New York, wanted a home that reflected their lifestyle, with space for both daily living and formal entertaining. Much of the budget went into strengthening the architectural bones of the property: insulation, structure, and layout. Their existing furniture, collected across continents, was thoughtfully integrated alongside new, durable and timeless pieces.

We introduced simplified mouldings to unify the period architecture with contemporary sensibilities, overcoming complex structural challenges in the process. A muted palette of warm greys, beiges and natural textures grounds the design, while greenish-blue accents and layered materials add depth and personality.

Custom joinery, ample concealed storage, and thoughtful spatial planning create a calm and cohesive interior, tailored to the practical needs of family life — without compromising on beauty, elegance or heritage.
